Focusing on low-temperature pain points, seeking technological breakthroughs together
At the symposium, Zhao Ning, Shantui's mining truck product director, pointed out that the operating environment in mines is harsh, especially in high-altitude regions, where the low-temperature starting, cruising range, and stability of power batteries are extremely demanding. This visit hopes to cooperate with Shandong WENENG to overcome industry challenges such as battery performance degradation in low-temperature environments and provide more reliable new energy solutions for mining truck users.
Wang Tingwu, chief technical engineer of Shandong WENENG, detailed the company's research and development of low-temperature power battery technology. Through material innovation, it can achieve a discharge capacity retention rate of 91% at ultra-low temperatures of -50℃ and has a 3C fast charging and discharging capability, which can significantly improve the operating efficiency of mining trucks in extreme conditions. Both parties agreed that by integrating Shantui's advantages in mining truck design and manufacturing with WENENG's core technology in low-temperature power batteries, they can accelerate the launch of high-energy-density, long-life, low-temperature battery products suitable for large mining trucks.
Joining hands to move towards a new era of green mining
This exchange laid a solid foundation for cooperation between the two parties. Next, Shantui Construction Machinery and Shandong WENENG will establish a special working group to promote joint research and development and customized product development, jointly develop the new energy mining truck market, respond to the national "dual carbon" goals, and lead the green transformation of the engineering machinery industry.
